Audiobooks

As a home educating family, we listen to lots of audiobooks.  We sometimes rent these from the library, but often I download books I think the children will be interested in, and burn them to CD.  A great place to look (although the website leaves a lot to be desired!) is Audiobooks for Free.  The audiobooks here CAN be downloaded for free but I would recommend you pay the $6 to $8 to improve the sound quality - still a bargain! They carry lots of classics here, such as The Wizard of Oz and The Call of the Wild.

For more up to date audiobooks, we use Audible.com. This is a subscription service - for a monthly fee I get to download two audiobooks a month.  We have been members for a couple of years now, and I have downloaded some great listens.

I havent tried them but there is a UK Audible that you may want to check out. And Learn out loud might be worth a look too. Happy listening!!!
