Lapbooks

We have spent a good part of the last couple of days ‘lapbooking’!!
The children wanted to know more about ‘Ancient Greece’ and ‘Ancient Egypt’ after playing Age of Mythology (there is a free trial download here) so we have spent the last few weeks on this topic using various resources. But I wanted to find a way to consolidate and wrap up what we had done and thought a lapbook would help us pull everything together.
A lapbook is a book made by the children, with lots of smaller booklets inside it - each booklet covering a different topic or area. The Ancient Greece lapbook has booklets on the Olympics, the Parthenon, Food, slavery, Architecture and Art (to name a few!).
We have done lapbooking before (without much enthusiasm!) but this time I bought e-lapbook packs from Homeschool E-store. I have found the packs to be very comprehensive and interesting and they have actually introduced a few new areas that we hadn’t looked at before. I bought Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece. It was fun putting together the booklets and I think I could be more creative with it next time. I would certainly consider using this method again - as a wrap up at least.
Sites about lapbooks

- Living Literature

Suppliers of e-lapbook project packs that can be downloaded.
It seems that most of these suppliers offer free downloads at various times, so it may be worth checking them out occasionally.

You’ve made a nice list of links. Thanks for linking to my lapbooking site (first link)! We are fellow lapbookers too!
Blessings on the educational adventure!
Please, please, can someone tell me where in the UK I can get the folders to get our lapbooks started? I have searched everywhere an don’t seem to be able to find them.
