Maths No ProblemIf you have been looking for Singapore Math Workbooks in the UK, you will know they are not easy to get hold of.

In researching how to help her daughter in maths, Anne Hermanson found Singapore Math to be the most effective maths programme available to her. So she has set up Maths No Problem to spread the word about Singapore Maths, and to distribute the program within the UK and Europe.

Worth checking out if you are looking for a maths program.

We’re trying to do something similar. We’re a group of a dozen math teachers that are trying to make it easier for everyone to learn math.

    Our web site is:

We tried Singapore Maths but following reccomendation from other home schoolers we changed to the ‘Junior Maths’ and ‘So you Really Want To Learn Maths’ books that we got from:

They are British books written for the independent schools and are just as academically rogorous as SM. My kids enjoy them much more and I though it was funny that I heard about these British books from my American friends!

Can anyone tell me if they know of a ‘physical’ way to teach maths.Last year my daughter was learning using conquermaths.com. I found it very good she didnt and requested that learn maths physically as a better way for her to get to grips with it. It has always been a ‘Grrr’ subject for her. Any ideas anyone she is 14?
